What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 15:00 on the day of arrival, check-out by 10:00 on the day of departure.

What is the process for check-in?
Check-in is contactless; details will be provided in your welcome email.
Is there WiFi?

Yes there is high speed wifi in every cabin suitable for streaming as required.

Are pets allowed?

Unfortunately, we are not able to allow pets (with the exception of guide dogs) as this is a working farm with its own dogs and animals. 

Do we need to bring our own towels and linen?
Luxury linens and towels are provided for guest use.
Are toiletries provided?

Hand wash, shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided for guests during their stay.

Is there an Iron and a hairdryer?
Yes- both are provided to keep you looking fresh on the farm!
Are children welcome to stay?

A sofabed is provided in addition to a double bed, which could fit one or two young children. There are some things for parents to consider in and around the cabin such as a log burner and the comings and goings of a working farm, but we leave it to parents to decide if this is ok for their family.

Is breakfast included?

Breakfast can be arranged at an extra cost. We have made arrangements with a local farm shop, let us know if you want provisions for an English breakfast or vegetarian option and your breakfast pack will be ready to collect on the day you check in.

Are there facilities for tea/coffee and preparing meals?

Complimentary tea, coffee (pods for Nespresso machine), sugar, salt, pepper, oils are provided in each cabin. The kitchens are all fully equipped with pots and pans for the 2 ring hob and all the usual cutlery, glasses and plates you’d expect.

Is parking provided?

Free parking is provided just next to the cabins. You will find signposts to let you know where to park on arrival.

Are the cabins available to book for exclusive use with family and friends?

There are three cabins within close proximity that sleep six adults in total, please get in touch if you would like to hire them together and we will accommodate if we have availability.

Can I cancel or change my booking?

Changes or cancellations can be made up to four weeks in advance of your stay. Please see our terms and conditions for further details.

What if there are any problems during my stay?

Mike and Rachel who own the farm live on site. Their mobile numbers are provided in the welcome email.

How can we find you?

If you look up the BOX BNB on Google maps, this will bring you straight to the farm. The full address is Moor Close Farm, High Marishes, Malton YO17 6UH. As you enter the farm, drive down the long drive (please drive carefully.) You will see the cabins in the field to the left hand side of the main farmhouse.

Where are the nearest shops?

There is a Nisa convenience store in Thornton-Le-Dale (a few minutes’ drive) or bigger supermarkets in Malton (8-10 minute drive away). There is also a well-appointed farm shop (The Whole Hogg) within a few minutes’ drive that can provide make your own or takeaway breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Our first three cabins are just outside the village of Thornton-Le-Dale on the outskirts of the North York Moors. You will find plenty to do and visit in the surrounding area.
